Replacing Rusty Gutters in Churchlands

by | Jun 14, 2023 | 0 comments

PGWA was recently called to replace 23m of rusted out gutter and two separate downpipes in a second-floor unit of a strata complex in Churchlands.

The Problem : Leaking Gutters

The gutter had rusted, causing it to leak water onto the walkway in front of the car park. The job was organised by the strata company through an insurance and strata builder.

Gutters are essential as they protect the building structure from water damage by channelling the water effectively off the roof and into soakwells, drains and very importantly away from the buildings foundations.

When gutters are rusty, leaking, or damaged, the water will fall at the point of least resistance and in this case, that was onto the residents while trying to make their way to their cars.

Our Solution : Quality Gutter Replacement

PGWA replaced the rusted gutter and downpipes with quality materials that matched the rest of the complex. We made the area safe by erecting scaffolding, ensuring the safety of our workers while removing and installing the gutters.

Inspection and Assessment of the Rest of the Roof

While replacing the gutters and downpipes, we took the opportunity to inspect the rest of the roof area in that zone. We do this to check for any other leaks or issues that need addressing, fixing, or replacing and avoid future complications.

The Outcome : Gutters and Downpipes installation

After the replacement, the complex had new gutters and downpipes installed that matched the rest of the complex. Residents were no longer getting wet walking to their cars, and the property was protected from water damage.

At PGWA, we are committed to providing high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service. We take pride in our work and ensure that all our clients are satisfied with the results. If you need help with your gutters or any other plumbing or gas project, don’t hesitate to contact us.
